Utkal University student accuses professor of sexual harassment, internal probe launched 

The Utkal University’s internal sexual harassment cell has launched a probe into the sexual harassment allegation brought by a girl student against a professor. 

As per the report, the student alleged that she had experienced the ordeal on August 16. On that day, she had gone to the chamber of the professor to bring some books when the latter harassed her sexually and warned her against telling anyone about what happened to her.

The incident came to the fore after the victim lodged a complaint with the internal sexual harassment cell of the university.

The cell said the investigation into the allegation is underway and the report would soon be submitted to the authorities.
