As per reports, a patient with ventilator support needed immediate attention. There was no power at the hospital, so the doctors treated him with the mobile phone torch light.

The residents of Bargarh have been cock-a-hoop since the announcement of Bhagabat Padhan’s name as the recipient of the Padma Shri award for the year 2024. 

Gopinath Swain, Bhagbat Padhan, Binod Maharana, and Binod Kumar Pasayat from Odisha will receive the Padma Shri. The awards will be conferred by the President of India at ceremonial functions which will be held at Rashtrapati Bhawan usually around March / April.

As per reports, thousands of packets of paddy at Barikel Mandi in Odisha’s rice bowl, Bargarh have been waiting to be lifted by millers since the last one month. But it has been alleged that neither the millers nor the Regulated Market Committee (RMC) cared for their plight.
