Illegal Gun Manufacturing Unit Busted in Dhenkanal, 1 Held

In a joint operation, police officials busted an illegal country-made gun manufacturing unit at Bam village under Parajanga police station in Dhenkanal district on Friday and arrested one person in this connection.

The accused has been identified as Mangalu Moharana.

Two New Judges Take Oath In Orissa High Court

Two new judges were administered oath of office as judges of the Orissa High by Chief Justice S Muralidhar on Friday.

Two new judges Justice Jaswant Singh and Arindam Sinha were transferred to Orissa High Court from Punjab and Haryana High Court and Calcutta High Court respectively.

The newly appointed judges took oath inside the new conference hall of the High Court in presence of other judges, members of the bar.

With the recent transfer of judges, the Orissa High Court now has 14 Judges as against the sanctioned bench strength of 27.
