In the petition, the deceased officer’s family alleged that the Crime Branch probe yielded no results even as 81 days have passed since the mysterious death of the ACF. The family alleged that Odisha Police is carrying out a manipulated probe to ‘intentionally’ misdirect the case. Instead of collecting evidence, the police are destroying them, the petitioner added. Director General of Police, Crime Branch ADG, CBI director and State Home Secretary have been made respondents to the case.
