Couple crushed to death by unknown vehicle in Bhubaneswar

A couple was killed after being run over by an identified vehicle near Palasuni area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. The deceased couple from Sonepur district reportedly came to Bhubaneswar after having the darshan of Lord Jagannath in Puri.

They deboarded a bus at the chhak and were crossing the road when the vehicle hit them. As per initial report reports, one of the deceased died after he was dragged some 500 meters by the speeding vehicle.

Sources said that the driver of the vehicle soon fled the spot after hitting the couple on the busy stretch of the road.
