As the auspicious ceremony of Ayodhya Ram Mandir consecration nears, people from all walks of life are in a celebratory mood. Some are offering bus rides and auto rides for free while others are feeding the poor as India patiently awaits Lord Ram to descend on the throne.

Meanwhile, a private hospital has announced free delivery of newborns till January 22 to celebrate the Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

The private hospital in Karnataka’s Vijayapura hospital has offered to deliver newborns for free from January 18 to 22, as a mark of respect and worship to Lord Shri Ram.

On the other hand, many pregnant mothers have requested hospitals to align their cesarean section deliveries on January 22, with the Ram Temple consecration ceremony. This has been reported from Uttar Pradesh’s largest government hospital. Pregnant women are requesting doctors to conduct their deliveries on Ram Mandir's inauguration day.

Meanwhile, Ayodhya is dazzling ahead of the historic day. The new idol of Lord Ram was placed inside the Ram Janmabhoomi temple on Friday noon, just a few days ahead of the consecration ceremony.

The first photo of the idol- made of black stone- depicts the deity as a five-year-old child in a standing posture. Earlier today, the Ram Lalla idol was placed in the sanctum sanctorum amid the chanting of prayers.
