In Odisha, there is a total of 35,000 acres of land in the name of Lord Jagannath. Out of the total, 20,000 acres of land are in Khordha and Puri districts.

According to Jagannath cult researcher Dr Naresh Das, on the tenth day of Falguna Shukla Paksha, ‘Fagu Dashami’ is observed at Srimandir. 

Dwaraphita ritual was held at 7 am at Srimandir today and subsequently, devotees were allowed inside the shrine.
