The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has taken necessary steps to facilitate pilgrims with reserved class accommodation, for the trains leaving from its jurisdiction towards Puri and vice-versa, apart from the special trains from neighboring States.
Around 10 lakh people are expected to gather for the festival in the temple town from across the country, and some foreign nations, Director of Health Service Bijay Mohapatra said.

Every year on the occasion of Jyestha Purnima, sibling deities (Lord Balabhadra, Mahaprabhu Jagannath & Devi Subhadra) and Chakradhar Sudarsan, take a ceremonial bath with 108 pitchers of sacred water. After this holy bathing or Snana Yatra rituals, deities are decked up in Gajanana Besha. The Snana Yatra culminates after the Lords are taken to the 'Anasara Ghara' on Pahandi.
ADG, Law and Order, RK Sharma said, “As the Snana Purnima festival will be held with the participation of devotees, elaborate security arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the rituals.”
The Puri police have also issued traffic advisory for Snana Purnima rituals.
