Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Saturday minced no words when he targeted both BJP and BJD at a public meeting in Balasore.

Terming BJP and BJD as two sides of the same coin, Pilot said they are now attacking and counter-attacking each other. But after the election, they will be together once again.

Urging people to vote for Congress, he said there used to be a time when leaders from Odisha would be enjoying a significant influence in Delhi. They don’t have the same clout in Delhi anymore. To bring back those old days, vote for Congress leaders.

“Despite there being no BJP government in Odisha, it is said that there is BJP’s double engine government here. It is because they (BJP and BJD) have remained united. They did everything jointly for five years,” he said.

No comments were received from the BJP or BJD over Sachin Pilot’s allegations.

Congress has fielded its senior leader Srikant Jena from the Balasore Lok Sabha seat. He is locking horns with BJD’s Lekhashree Samantasinghar and BJP’s Pratap Sarangi.
