A total of 1,082 Police personnel have been awarded Police Medals on the occasion of Independence Day 2022.
A total of 939 Police personnel will be awarded medals on the occasion of the Republic Day, 2022.
With 115 Police Medals, the Jammu & Kashmir Police has bagged the highest number of medals.
The medal is awarded for either gallantry or distinguished service, with the gallantry version of the medal being accorded a higher precedence.
The Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday announced a list of 1380 police personnel from across the country who will be decorated with various medals on the Independence Day.
