The Southwest Monsoon winds may make onset in Odisha by June 10 to 12, the Director General of India Meteorological Department, Mrutyunjay Mohapatra informed OTV through a telephonic message. 

While IMD puts a higher probability of above normal rainfall for the period of June - September, APEC Climate Centre predicts above normal rainfall during June to August in the State. District-wise data shows deficient rainfall in western Odisha 

The Odisha government has prepared a ground-level action plan for smooth management of flood and waterlogging in urban pockets of the State during the upcoming season of Monsoon.
