Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at isolated places over the 14 districts of Odisha.

The IMD has also issued an ‘orange’ warning of torrential rain in many districts of Odisha over the next two days.

Under the influence of a cyclonic circulation, a low pressure area is likely to form over West-central Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours. The Met department has issued yellow warning for many districts of Odisha over the period of next 5 days.

As monsoon has not yet withdrawn, no assessment regarding cyclone has been made by IMD.

Two separate low pressure systems might bring more spells of rains for Odisha in the next two weeks. According to the Regional Meteorological Centre of the IMD in Bhubaneswar, the state might witness twin low pressures in two weeks.

The Deep Depression over northwest Chhattisgarh and adjoining northeast Madhya Pradesh and southeast Uttar Pradesh has weakened into a Depression, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday.

IMD DG further informed that heavy to heavy rainfall in the state is likely tomorrow.
