Conditions are becoming favorable for the withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from parts of northwest India and Kutch during the next two days, said India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.

As per IMD, dry weather is very likely over West Rajasthan, Punjab and adjoining areas of Haryana during the next five days due to anti-cyclonic flow over northwest India at lower tropospheric levels.

Under the influence of yesterday’s cyclonic circulation over Northwest & adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, a low pressure area has formed over the same region. It is likely to move northwestwards towards Odisha coast and become more marked during next 24 hours,” said IMD.

Apart from this, a cyclonic circulation also lies over central parts of south Uttar Pradesh in lower tropospheric levels.
