After a few days of intense rainfall in several parts of Odisha, the state may once again witness more spells of wet weather as a fresh cyclonic circulation is likely to brew over Bay of Bengal in the next week, the Regional Meteorological Centre of the IMD said on Monday.

Taking to Twitter, the Met agency shared a weather update in which it said that an upper air cyclonic circulation may form over North Bay of Bengal around September 18.

Under its impact, widespread rainfall activity is likely to be observed in Odisha during the period. The Met department has however not released any further updates on the probability of the formation of low pressure and rainfall forecast associated with the system.
