There will be subdued rainfall activity over plains of Northwest India and over Central India during the next 5 days.
Heavy rainfall is also likely to occur over Uttarakhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim for a period between August 27 and August 30, 2022.

Odisha is all set to experience increase in rainfall activities with gradual strengthening of monsoon flow and anticipated low pressure area, said India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday.
Several parts of Odisha experienced light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday. Though the rain provided much needed relief from heat conditions, there won’t be much change in the maximum (day temperature) over next couple of days.

The well-marked low-pressure area over south coastal Odisha and neighbourhood is now seen as a low-pressure area over north Odisha and neighbourhood.

At present, a cyclonic circulation lies over northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal off south Odisha north Andhra Pradesh coasts.
As per IMD, the active monsoon conditions over central India and along west coast are likely to continue during the next five days.
As per the forecast, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Boudh in the next 24 hours.
The monsoon trough is active and south of its normal position. Similarly, a cyclonic circulation lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood, said IMD.
