The IMD on Thursday predicted light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorm activities in several parts of Odisha even though it ruled out any direct impact of cyclone Mandous.

Cyclone Mandous will maintain its peak intensity today, packing a maximum sustained wind speed of 80-90 kmph, gusting to 100 kmph.

The weather bureau has also shared the forecast track and intensity of the probable cyclonic storm.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that the system is likely to concentrate into a depression by this evening. As per the forecast, the system is likely to intensify further gradually into a cyclonic storm.
