It has the second largest mangrove ecosystem in the country and home to saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) the largest Indian Lizard at Bhitarkanika National Park. It the Batighar, the first lighthouse installed in eastern coast of India. Rasabali is the famous delicious dessert of kendrapada district.
