Odisha to get lion’s share from Union Budget: BJP National VP Baijayant Panda

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders led by party’s National Vice-President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda on Sunday held a meeting to discuss the recently presented Union Budget. Along with Odisha Minister Suryabanshi Suraj and Kendrapara leaders, Jay Panda hailed the Union Budget as a progressive and inclusive financial roadmap which will strengthen India’s economy, generate employment and enhance social welfare.

At a presser, Jay Panda said that as per different surveys, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been rated as the most popular leader globally. India’s GDP growth is the highest in the world; being placed at the 5th position and soon the country is going to reach the third spot.

“The Union Budget highlights PM Modi’s 2047 Viksit Bharat mission and one major share belongs to Viksit Odisha as well. In this fiscal year, the World Bank stated that extreme poverty has declined in India. The Budget also focuses on the agriculture sector so that the farmers in the country can transform the food basket in the world,” said Jay Panda.

Will Help Fulfill PM Modi’s ‘Purvodaya’ Vision:

The BJP National Vice-President further said that the Budget fulfils the commitment of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and will help in fulfilling the ‘Purvodaya’ vision of the Prime Minister.

“The Budget also fulfils several aspirations of people in Odisha. Be it middle class, women entrepreneurs, youths, farmers, MSMEs and other sectors, all will immensely benefit from the budget. The Budget also gives impetus on infrastructure, health, education, agriculture, among others,” Panda added.

PM Modi Confident of Achieving Positive Results from the Budget

On March 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a post-budget webinar on agriculture and rural prosperity via video-conferencing and highlighted that this year's budget is the first full budget of the government's third term, showcasing continuity in policies and a new expansion of the vision for Viksit Bharat.

The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare organised the Post-Budget Webinar on "Agriculture and Rural Prosperity".

The Prime Minister urged everyone to discuss how to make the ongoing schemes more effective. He expressed confidence that positive results will be achieved with their suggestions and contributions. He concluded by stating that active participation from everyone will empower villages and enrich rural families.
