Baijayant Panda with the constituency residents
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Vice-President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda took part in the auspicious Maha Bisuba Sankranti celebrations on Monday at Mahakalpada Daria Ramachandi temple in the district.
The occasion, marked by traditional rituals, saw Panda seeking blessings for the prosperity of Rajnagar residents. He was joined by Durga Prasan Nayak, the local Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), along with senior party officials.
“MP Baijayant Panda visited Matia Mangala temple and Daria Ramachandi temple today. He prayed before the deities for the welfare of the locals. The MP is always instrumental in protecting, upholding, and spreading our heritage, art, culture, and traditions,” MLA Nayak said.
“Like every year, Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda, local BJP MLA and party’s senior leaders reached here and had Darshan of the deity. The MP prayed for the welfare and development of the residents,” Kendrapara BJP vice-president, Sanjaya Rath stated.
Earlier on April 10, the BJP National Vice President visited Rajnagar constituency in the district. He had interacted with the party workers and local residents and took part in several programmes.
During his visit, he was warmly welcomed by the party workers with floral greetings. As part of his agenda, the MP had participated in the Swachh Bharat Mission at Chandan Nagar High School, aligning with Gaon Chalo Abhiyan, a campaign aimed at engaging rural communities. His itinerary also included a visit to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Adhajodi village, attending a booth-level programme in Bantagaon, and leading a public awareness procession from Bantagaon to Chandramauli localities.
The Kendrapara MP had engaged directly with booth-level workers, urging them to bolster the party's organisational structure. He also actively participated in various developmental and political activities in Pattamundai block of Kendrapara, reiterating his firm commitment to strengthening grassroots connections.
