Jagatsinghpur, the smallest district of Odisha in size, is known for its rich cultural heritage and contribution to socio-economic development. This district has got a total population of 11, 36,971 including 577,865 male and 559,106 female as per 2011 census. Famous Paradeep port and oil refinery is another high light of the district.
The villagers had erected temporary barricades at the entry points to Dhinkia village and have put locks to prevent the entry of administration officials and police force.

On Sunday midnight, Jagatinghpur Police reportedly picked up Panda from his house and took him to the police station for interrogation where he was allegedly beaten up and manhandled by the cops. He was forwarded to the court and shifted to jail the next day.
