From Mumbai to Odisha and other parts of the country, heavy and intense spell of rainfall has put brakes on normal life.
One or two places of Sonepur, Bolangir, Boudh, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khordha and Puri might also receive thundershower on Thursday.

“Odisha has been receiving light to moderate rainfall since yesterday evening while Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Khordha districts are likely to witness heavy rainfall. Cuttack and Bhubaneswar are likely to receive maximum rainfall of 200 mm today,” informed Jena.
The Met Centre has also issued yellow warning for heavy rainfall in Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Bolangir on Thursday.
Heavy rainfall, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over several districts of the State till September 8, 2021
