Yogi gives ‘mahant vani’ to Naveen, says development in state remains a 17-year-old dream
Bhubaneswar: Mounting a scathing attack on Odisha chief minister Naveen patnaik, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused the BJD government of failing to accelerate development in Odisha despite being in power for 17 years.
In an exclusive interview to OTV, Adityanath alleged that basic development of infrastructure, facilities and other amenities still remain a distant dream for a majority of people in Odisha.
“Naveen Patnaik has been ruling the State for 17 years but 47 percent population are below the poverty line while a majority of others are also deprived of drinking water and electricity. The government has failed in providing people with such amenities,” said Adityanath.
The five-term BJP MP from Gorakhpur was in Odisha to attend the party’s National Executive Meet at Bhubaneswar.
Adityanath further said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP government is trying its best to ensure that electricity reaches every village and households through various schemes including the Deendayal Upadhaya scheme in the country.
But it is the responsibility of State government in making such schemes to reach the grassroot level.
