As predicted by the IMD, several parts of Odisha experienced intense heatwave conditions since early morning on Friday. As per the data shared by IMD, mercury breached the 30 degree C mark in16 Odisha districts by 8:30 am today.

Bhawanipatna recorded the maximum temperature of 36.2 degrees by 8:30 am. The IMD on Thursday had issued a red warning for heatwave to severe heatwave conditions in different parts of Odisha on April 26 and April 27.
