The sitting Jatani MLA has been in the eye of a storm after his son Manmath Routray was given a BJD ticket to contest from the prestigious Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha seat against BJP’s sitting MP Aparajita Sarangi. 

The BJP has released a chargesheet against the BJD, highlighting the latter's failures in governance over 25 years in Odisha. The document, influenced by public feedback, points out issues like women's safety, rising crime against children, job scarcity leading to migration, and unfair electricity pricing.

As per the allegations by some residents, they don’t have basic amenities in their area like road communication and drinking water facilities. However, no political party is concerned about their ordeal.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, MP CM Mohan Yadav, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and party’s National Vice President Baijayant Panda among other prominent leaders were included in the list.
