Earlier, Khordha Additional District Sessions Judge-2 had rejected Prashant’s bail plea. Prashant’s lawyer Pitambar Acharya had then brought serious allegations that his client had been treated like a criminal.

“We had sought one month’s bail on three grounds. One was his oath-taking ceremony. The second one was on health grounds and the third one was to attend the death rituals of his nephew. Considering everything, the court has granted three days’ bail and directed him to surrender,” said Prashant’s advocate Prabhat Dash.
