Students oppose CBCS exam pattern in Ravenshaw

Cuttack: Protesting against the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) examination pattern, students of Ravenshaw University appeared in the Post Graduation first year examination today wearing black badges.

According to sources, students under the banner of DSO attended the examination wearing black badges protesting the evaluation process based on attendance.

The students also alleged that the CBCS pattern examination system promotes partiality and corruption.

The members of DSO threatened to intensify their protest if university authorities fail to withdraw CBCS pattern in the future.

Amarendra Nayak, a PG first year student, said, “The CBCS examination pattern is not the appropriate method to evaluate the knowledge of a student. It is affecting the education system.”

“We are strongly opposing the CBCS exam pattern as it is encouraging partiality and corruption. We will intensify our protest if the university authorities do not abolish the system,” Amarendra added.
