Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, Ashok Pandey has intimated about the inclusion of the Odisha tableau in the parade in a letter to Chief Secretaries of concerned states. The BMC has also conducted a review of the revenue collection including holding tax, trade license, commercial holding taxes and users fee for sanitation.
A total of eight persons have been arrested in this connection, informed Bhubaneswar DCP, Prateek Singh. According to Singh, the gang used to operate in groups across the country in teams of 14 to 15 persons. They were also involved in multiple cases in Odisha as well.
