The first edition of the three-day-long World Odia Language Conference is all set to kick start in Bhubaneswar on February 3rd.

For the success of the conference, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed all the concerned departments to work in coordination with the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture departments.

The decision to hold the conference was taken at the Heritage Cabinet meeting held on December 19.

The World Odia Language Conference will be a three-day-long affair and will witness the participation of nationally and internationally acclaimed linguists and experts. Besides, students from across the state will also take part in the conference. In the three days, special focus will be given to how the youths can be encouraged toward the use of the Odia language.

The government hopes the conference will help spread the Odia language in the country and abroad as well.
