In a shocking incident, a fake doctor, who had reportedly been providing healthcare services to people in the Soro area of Balasore for as many as 15 years was exposed after his true identity was revealed by the forged registration number.

A police complaint has been filed against him.

As per reports, Bhaskar Chandra Sahoo, a resident of the Basudevpur area in Bhadrak, used to project himself as a medicine specialist and nephrologist.

A few days ago, Sanjay Patra, a resident of Mobarakpur, came to know that Bhaskar was not a doctor after inquiring about his registration number. Sanjay later ascertained that the registration number of Bhaskar was wrong and filed a complaint against the latter at the Soro Police Station.

Sanjay said, "Bhaskar Sahoo has been treating patients at different medicine stores in the Soro area for the last 15 years. One of my friends informed me that Bhaskar is not an MBBS. I investigated on my own and the registration number mentioned on his prescription was wrong. He cited it as a printing mistake.”

Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) Dulalshen Jagdev said, "There is no such medicine specialist as BC Sahoo in Soro. We came to know of the issue and we have ordered an investigation. After the probe, we will inform the police. The CDMO cannot take action against him.”
