Adding fuel to the ongoing political slugfest, Union Minister Arjun Munda on Saturday slammed the Odisha government over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state and termed the killing of Das unfortunate.

The State unit of the Saffron party has been cornering the State government alleging large-scale irregularities in awarding houses to beneficiaries under PMAY. 

The DHE, in its letter, has asked the concerned officials to conduct all the UG final year examinations accordingly, which will facilitate the students of the state to appear in different examinations conducted by Central Universities for taking admission in higher classes.

Our focus is now to ensure how to prevent such incidents in future and what should be our response as a citizen and police officer, said the DGP.

Briefing the media, the top cop said, “It is tough to unravel the mystery in two or four days in such cases. Even though some facts have emerged, it will take some time.”

In the capital city Bhubaneswar, the price of 24-carat gold per 10-gram is Rs 60,700 as compared to Rs 58,900 on Tuesday. Similarly, the price of 22-carat gold has increased to Rs 54,200 from Rs 51,600.

The DGP refused to comment on the matter when OTV journalist tried to seek his reaction on the sensitive case during a programme held in Bhubaneswar.

The cops have also seized a wooden plank from their possession used by them to commit the crime.

In its order, Lokayukta has directed the Crime Branch to submit a report on or before March 28.

While informing about the flight operator, BPIA director Prasanna Pradhan said, “Indigo Airlines may start the international flight service from the BPIA to Dubai, Singapore and Bangkok. An agreement has already been signed between the Odisha government and the carrier.”
