In view of the surge in COVID-19 cases in Odisha, Baba Akhandalamani Temple at Aradi village in Bhadrak district will remain closed for devotees from 6 AM of December 31 till 8 PM of January 2.
The district administration has also imposed Section-144 in and around the temple during this period to avoid crowding of devotees.
The decision was taken in a bid to avoid a large crowd on New Year’s Day to check the Covid-19 transmission.
However, servitors will be allowed inside the temple to perform rituals on these days.
