The daughter of the Supreme Court’s cook made the country proud after securing scholarships to study masters in Law in the US.  Despite several challenges, Pragya, a law researcher, has managed to secure scholarships for her master's in law at the University of California and the University of Michigan in the US.

After learning about her unique feat, the Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud along with other judges of the Supreme Court personally honoured the brilliantly talented budding lawyer.

The judges gathered in their lounge before beginning their day’s work to applaud Pragya’s achievements.

As a token of love, the judges presented Pragya with three books on the Indian Constitution, signed by all the apex court judges.

“We know Pragya has managed something on her own, but we will ensure she manages to get whatever is required… We expect that she should come back to serve the country,” PTI quoted CJI Chandrachud saying after blessing her for all her future endevaours.

Pragya, on the other hand, revealed that CJI Chandrachud was her idol and said, “With the live streaming of court hearings, everyone can watch him speaking. He encourages young lawyers and his words are like gems. He is my inspiration.”
