 However, many take up absurd things to make quick money.

A Bengaluru-based lady techie decided to quit her job and become a full-time thief. Originally from Noida, the 26-year-old woman has been apprehended for allegedly stealing 24 laptops worth Rs 10 lakh from PGs and software establishments in Bengaluru.

Based on CCTV footages, Bengaluru police arrested her. 

According to The Hindu, she was staying in PGs and stole the laptops and other gadgets of fellow roommates and others.

 She then sold the stolen goods in her hometown. She also later moved to another PG and likewise continued her heist. She was a techie and had also worked in a bank.

However, she quit working around a year ago and concentrated mainly on ‘stealing expensive electronics’, The Hindu reported.

In yet another ridiculous theft, oil valued lakhs had been stolen from the pipes of Indian Oil in Dwarka’s village of Pochanpur. According to the authorities, the accused had dug a 40-meter tunnel through which he steg the oil worth lakhs.
