The vehicle, which went missing under mysterious circumstances, was reportedly abandoned by an unidentified person at Mancheswar industrial estate area on Friday.

Facing difficulties in wrapping his entire body, Joy Chakraborty chopped off the limbs of his deceased father with a surgical knife, wrapped the body in a plastic sack, and dumped it in a local pond.

Earlier a verbal complaint was filed regarding another ragging incident in the college. As many as 10 students involved in the incident were suspended from the college for 10 days.

Delhi Police have come across the chats between Shraddha Walkar and her friends, which reveal a pattern of abuse by Aftab Ameen Poonawalla that ended up in her murder on May 18.

The recent incident of ragging at Binayak Acharya College in Berhampur and the subsequent arrest of the prime accused Abhishek Nayak has spelt trouble for the ruling BJD.

Aftab, who was arrested on November 12 for the brutal murder of Walkar, used to work in C-Vent, an IT company in Gurugram.

The evidence revealed that the landowners had not disclosed income accrued to them from capital gains on transfer of the land given for development through JDAs to various developers, even after the issue of the OCs from the authorities.

Police have also reportedly arrested two aides of Soumya Ranjan in this connection.

A day earlier, the police had also taken him to the house in south Delhi's Chhattarpur, which he shared with Walkar, to recreate the crime. Sources have said that when Poonawalla was first called for questioning, he told the investigators that she had left the house on May 22.

The college authorities’ action came following a direction from the district police. 

Following the lack of evidence, the police teams on Wednesday had also visited the rented house in Chattarpur which the accused and the victim shared.
