CBI probe into Puri triple murder begins

Puri: A three member team of Central investigating agency CBI on Thursday reached Jamindar Palace and started investigation into the triple murder in the district.

According to sources, a team of the probe agency reached the spot in the afternoon and started investigation into the sensational murder case that occurred on December 14, 2013.

Notably, Amit Agarwal, a resident of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, had booked Room No 307 in Jamindar Palace on December 9, 2013. He was accompanied by his wife Ankita Bansal, 4-year-old son Divyanshu and 7-year-old daughter Vani.

But on December 14, 2013, the bodies of his wife Ankita and her two minor children were found dead, lying in a bed at the palace. Preliminary investigation suggested they were drugged and later strangulated to death.

The husband who is said to be the main suspect of the heinous crime has gone missing after the crime.
