Cuttack: Ticket sale for the public for India-South Africa international T-20 match at Barabati Stadium here, scheduled to be held on October 5, begun on Thursday at 9 am at the three counters of the stadium.
According to sources, more than 11,000 tickets will be sold at the three counters for the public.
Around 7,000 tickets were sold online for the T-20 match. Similarly 13,050 tickets were sold to the clubs affiliated to the Odisha Cricket Association, the units affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and educational institutions, the sources added.
Treasurer of OCA Satya Mohanty said, “We have made three counters to sell the tickets. High denomination tickets are being sold at one counter while the other two are selling the gallery tickets.”
Meanwhile, police commissioner R.P. Sharma visited the stadium on Wednesday and reviewed the security arrangement for the match.
Notably, on October 3 evening, both the teams will arrive in Bhubaneswar and have a nets session at the stadium in Cuttack on October 4. The match will start at 7 pm on October 5.
