Well, it might sound shocking, but it is none other than the gorgeous Kareena Kapoor. Yes, you read that right! Mrunal has attributed her success to ‘Geet’ from the iconic film ‘Jab We Met’. The character of ‘Geet’ was made iconic by Kareena and is till today regarded as her best work.
Interestingly, Mrunal has shared how she landed her role in ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and thanked Geet (Kareena Kapoor) for being her inspiration.
Speaking to Humans of Bombay, Mrunal said, “Geet is a cult. Geet has played such an integral part in shaping who I am because every time I make a decision, I think as Geet. That’s what Imtiaz sir has done to me. I am so grateful to Imtiaz sir as because of him I think I’m in this industry.”
“If I wouldn’t have watched Geet, if I wouldn’t have watched Jab We Met, I may have not considered this as my career. It’s just so overwhelming. It’s magical,” she added.
On the work front, Mrunal is gearing up for the shooting of her upcoming thriller film ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’. The film also features Huma Qureshi and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles.
