Astarang: Two nephews and brother of Dinabandhu Mallick, a retired district inspector of schools, today deposed before the State Crime Branch team, which is probing into the quadruple murder in Dinadiyan village in Puri district, for questioning.
Though the eight-member Crime Branch team and experts from State Forensic Lab reached the village on Wednesday evening and probing the murder, they have not got any breakthrough.
Yesterday, the locals gheraoed the vehicle of Crime Branch additional SP demanding immediate arrest of the accused in the ghastly act. Later, the villagers were pacified after the Crime Branch official assured them of proper action against the accused.
Notably, a retired district inspector of schools Dinabandhu Mallick, his wife Nirmala and two minor daughters Pranati and Saswati were found in pools of blood in their house on Tuesday night.
The State government on Wednesday directed the Crime Branch to probe the murders of a couple and their two minor children.
