Giving more information about this, Puri District Collector Samarth Verma on Tuesday said, “Some portion of the Snana Bedi needs repairing. That’s why the administration in collaboration with Archaeological Survey of India will carry out its repair work."

As per the age-old tradition, 865 logs of Phasi, Asana and Dhaura are required for the construction of the three chariots. During the initial stage of construction work, the Maharana servitors require Phasi logs with 6 to 7 feet girth for ‘Tumba’ and of 7 to 8 feet for ‘Pahi’.
As per the centuries-old tradition, as many as 865 trunks of Phasi, Asan and Dhaura trees are required for chariot construction every year.
