Amid tight security, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in a special plane in Bhubaneswar on Sunday night after completing his road show in Ayodhya. He was accorded a grand welcome by the party leaders and workers.

A massive crowd of party workers who were outside the airport welcomed him. 

BJP National Vice President Baijayant Panda, Union Minister Jaishankar, Odisha in-charge Vijay Singh Tomar, Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal and party's MP candidate for Bhubaneswar Lok Saba seat Aparajita Sarangi were present.

On his arrival at Bhubaneswar, the Prime Minister took to his X handle to inform about his Odisha visit. "After programmes in Uttar Pradesh, landed to a warm welcome in Bhubaneswar. I can clearly see Odisha is all set to vote BJP in the state and Centre. People want a Government that can develop Odisha and also protect the vibrant local culture," read his post.  

After the welcome by party workers, his carcade moved towards the Raj Bhawan while he was seen showing a lotus symbol to the crowd. 

After his overnight stay at Raj Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, he will leave for Berhampur and Nabarangpur on Monday to address public meetings while electioneering for the 2024 elections is peaking up across the state. 

BJP leader Aparajita Sarangi said,”Soon after his arrival, the Prime Minister asked about Odisha. Odisha has been in the focus of the Central BJP. I am happy that he will hold a roadshow during his next visit from Master Canteen to Vani Vihar. Odisha is going to have double-engine government.”

The Prime Minister will again come to Odisha on a two-day visit, starting May 10. The Prime Minister will hold a roadshow in Bhubaneswar on the first day of his visit. He will address a public meeting in Bolangir on May 11. 

Besides making people aware of the central government’s pro-people yojanas and schemes, he will also campaign for his party’s candidates in the fray. The rank and file of the Odisha unit of BJP were enthused due to his visit. 

Party workers in Berhmapur are reportedly eagerly waiting to hear as his visit to Ganjam is viewed as very important. His visit is expected to boost the morale of the party workers.
