Even as Odisha is now currently witnessing a dry weather spell, the IMD on Friday predicted rainfall activities from November 1.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued a forecast predicting rain and thunderstorm for several parts of Odisha. However, the heatwave condition in the State is likely to continue for another two days.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday said the maximum temperature is likely to rise by 2 degrees at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha due to North-westerly/westerly dry air at lower levels and high solar insolation.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted that there will be no major change in the maximum temperature in the State in the next three to four days.
There will be no large change in the maximum temperature (Day Temperature) during the next five days over the districts of Odisha. Maximum temperature is very likely to be above normal by 2 to 3 degree Celsius at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha,
A Yellow warning for heat wave has been issued for several districts of the State till April 2, 2022.
The maximum temperature will be above normal by 3 to 4 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of interior Odisha and by around 2 degrees at a few places over the districts of coastal Odisha, the IMD said in its bulletin.
As per the latest forecast, one or two places over the districts of north coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul and Dhenkanal are likely to experience light rain or thundershower activities.
As per IMD, several parts of north interior Odisha will experience rain and thunderstorm activities.
The overall weather across Odisha will remain dry in the next 24 hours. There is also possibility of shallow to moderate fog over the districts of coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada and Kandhamal.
IMD has also predicted light to moderate rain and thundershower activities in some parts of the State ahead of New Year next week.
