The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted rain and thunderstorm activities in several parts of Odisha from February 9. However, the people in the State will get respite from cold conditions as the minimum (night) temperature is set to rise gradually.

“The minimum temperature is very likely to gradually rise by 3 to 4 degrees during the next three days over the districts in Odisha,” said IMD.

The overall weather across Odisha will remain dry in the next 24 hours. There is also possibility of shallow to moderate fog over the districts of coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada and Kandhamal.

Weather Forecast And Warning:

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 08.02.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 09.02.2022)

Yellow Warning (Be prepared): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh, Angul, Dhenkanal and Kandhamal.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 09.02.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 10.02.2022)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur and Deogarh.

Day-4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 10.02.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 11.02.2022)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of north Odisha, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khordha and Puri.
