As per reports, the Union Railway Minister is coming to Odisha on a two-day visit starting from tomorrow. An official involved in the raid said that the department had complaints about defective machines. “After the raid, we came to know that spare parts were assembled and weighing machines were made. As many as 25 machines are being seized. Further action will be taken against the manufacturer,” he added.

As per reports, the local youths have been demanding jobs, rehabilitation, and relocation of their families from the coal-bearing area. The MCL had notified the village for acquisition as part of its expansion project 14 years ago.

Jayant Das, one of the tourists from the Madhuban area of Baripada said, "It was around 7 pm on Sunday when we (family members) were returning from Chala to Pithabata gate and saw the leopard moving ahead of us. As our van light fell, it started moving. We were afraid and stuck there for several minutes. Our kids video-graphed the scene. “

Former BJD leader Balabhadra Majhi alleged, ”BJD thinks that the tribal leaders who are intelligent will create problem for other leaders. The party drives out all the tribal leaders, saying they have no importance. The party is now roping in retired, IAS, OAS and CEOs of corporate houses into its fold."
