There are six murder cases which still remain mysteries for the Commissionerate Police.

The announcement was made by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday. Earlier, a proposal for setting up the special crime unit was moved as part of a long-term strategy to restructure the Commissionerate Police system.

Bhubaneswar DCP, Umashankar Dash said that already clear instructions have been issued to all police stations across the city to initiate action against the defaulters.

The restrictions will be imposed for the general public in view of safety. The rules will not be applicable to vehicles authorised to enter the official buildings including the State Assembly, the State Secretariat and other government offices located in the area.
