Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Vice President Baijayant 'Jay' Panda on Sunday expressed his deep concern over the 'mismanagement' in the darshan system in place at Puri Srimandir. 

Because of such tensions, it is alleged that the BJD government has sown the seed of disturbance on the college campuses through its programme. 

The former Union Minister of Tribal Affairs demanded that the government should bring out its Cabinet decision on the issue through a gazette notification.

Addressing a press conference, BJP leader Bijoy Mohapatra said, “A committee for the reopening of the Ratna Bhandar should be constituted, and at the same time, the Ratna Bhandar should also be opened.”

The Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday intensified its attack on the Biju Janata Dal (BJD)-ruling dispensation for not implementing the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme in Odisha. 

The saffron party alleged that the state reported three farmer suicide cases in one month, one each from Jajpur, Nayagarh and Bolangir.  

BJP leader Rama Ranajn Baliarsingh said that farmers in Odisha are bearing the burden of loans worth Rs 32,700 crore and one in every three persons is poor in such an agrarian economy.

In order to reduce the burden on consumers, the Central government formed a Price Stabilisation Fund in the financial year of 2014-15. The prices of 22 food items are controlled by utilising the fund.
