Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a massive roadshow in Puri on Monday after having the darshan of Lord Jagannath and His siblings at 7 AM. Heavy security arrangements have been made in Puri. Over 60 platoons of police forces have been deployed.

As for security arrangements, Puri SP Pinak Mishra said, “Srimandir will be out of bounds for devotees one hour before the PM's visit. Similarly, traffic restrictions will be in place one hour before his visit. For his road show, traffic restrictions will be there from Marichikote Square to Medical Square.”

“We have made special security arrangements for the roadshow. Three SPs of commandant rank, eight ASPs of deputy commandant rank, 22 DSPs, 100 ASIs, 202 constables, and 42 inspectors have been engaged to look after the security arrangements.  Over 60 platoons of police force have been deployed,” he added.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav and BJP’s Puri Lok Sabha candidate Sambit Patra held a press meet on the PM’s programme. 

After having darshan of the deities in Srimandir, the Prime Minister will start his roadshow at 8 AM from Singhadwar to the Medical Chhak. Senior BJP leaders, thousands of party workers and supporters and common people will be part of the roadshow, they said. 

Patra said, ”Enthusiasm of the people in all parts of Odisha has touched a new high. We are receiving their calls. They will come to Puri before 7 AM on Monday to be part of the roadshow. They will exchange feelings with the PM through the roadshow.”

On the other hand, Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav asserted that the BJP will form the government in Odisha. “We will achieve our goal – the development of Odisha. Our party in the Sankalp Patra has promised Rs 3100 as MSP and Rs 50,000 voucher for women under Subhadra Yojana and four textile parks,” he added.
