PM Narendra Modi-led BJP government has finally brought 'acche din' (good days) in Odisha and will soon form government in this land of Lord Jagannath, said Home Minister on Monday while addressing the Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery book release event at Bhubaneswar.
As per the protocol, Minister of State for home Tusharkanti Behera, Police DG Sunil Bansal and Home Secretary should remain present at the airport to welcome Shah.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah visits birthplace of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Odia Bazar, Cuttack. He was accompanied by Dharmendra Pradhan and other senior leaders of the party.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at Lord Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar to offer prayers. Massive arrangements were in place at the 11th century shrine for the Home Minister's visit. Shah performed Jalabhishek at the temple.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Bhubaneswar late night on Sunday on a special flight to attend several events during his two day visit to Odisha. He was accompanied by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Meanwhile, a war of posters has already begun between the saffron and conch parties.
The political atmosphere in the State is surcharged ahead of Shah's visit. Political assumptions are also ripe that Shah will relaunch BJP's 'Mission 120' which the party failed to achieve in 2019 general polls.
In terms of numbers, NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar is most likely to win, but on the lines of the Presidential election, the BJP is working on a strategy to get more and more MPs' votes so its candidate can win with a big margin.
"Party workers have also been told to start preparing for 2024 polls and ensure PM Modi's return to power for the third consecutive term. They have been given the target of winning more seats than the last time," said Singh.
He asked the students to work hard for becoming a successful person but at the same also motivated them to work for the welfare of the society at large.
The home minister said the BJP will end family rule in states like Telangana and West Bengal.
Following Supreme Court’s clean chit on 2002 Gujarat riots case, Amit Shah says that PM Modi showed unflinching patience and had to endure a lot throughout. Shah said that the Supreme Court verdict prove that the case was politically-motivated.
The mindless menace of violence in Kashmir has to end. We cannot afford another exodus. Steps must be taken to ensure that those thrown away from their ancestral house under death threats return safely.
"Secured Northeast and secured central India pave the way for the development of tribals," Union Home Minister Amit Shah said.
The meeting was held at the Chandigarh airport.
