Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stalwart and Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Odisha on Thursday to campaign for party candidates. He will address a public rally at Rameswar Stadium in Sonepur. 

As per reports, Shah will arrive at Jharsuguda airport at 3 pm and from there he will go to Sonepur. 

Meanwhile, preparations for the public meeting were given finishing touches while senior police officials visited the venue and took stock of the security arrangements. 

Speaking to the media, BJP president of Sonepur district, Parmod Mohapatra said, "Thousands of party workers from Sonepur, Boudh and Bolangir will come to the public meeting.”

After winding up the meeting, the Home Minister will come to Bhubaneswar where he will spend the night. He will hold a key meeting with

BJP leaders and workers at the party office in Bhubaneswar to discuss the election strategies. He will review the poll preparedness and activities of the party in the state.
