The home minister said the BJP will end family rule in states like Telangana and West Bengal.

Following Supreme Court’s clean chit on 2002 Gujarat riots case, Amit Shah says that PM Modi showed unflinching patience and had to endure a lot throughout. Shah said that the Supreme Court verdict prove that the case was politically-motivated.

The mindless menace of violence in Kashmir has to end. We cannot afford another exodus. Steps must be taken to ensure that those thrown away from their ancestral house under death threats return safely.

"Secured Northeast and secured central India pave the way for the development of tribals," Union Home Minister Amit Shah said.

Addressing the 'Swarn Jayanti Samaroh' (Golden Jubilee celebrations) of Ramakrishna Mission School at Narottam Nagar (Deomali) in Tirap district, he said that since Modi government came to power, a holistic development agenda was undertaken to develop the northeast region at par with the other states of the country.

"I told the government of India and two of our leaders (Modi and Shah) do not expect unanimity... Even in parliament you don't get unanimity, same in a family. Democracy means someone will not agree. It's all right."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the size and scale of government schemes while drafting policies, so that the schemes reach everyone in the country.

She also mentioned that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was very close to her family. State transport minister and Mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), Firhad Hakim, was also present during the inauguration and shared the dais with Sourav and Dona Ganguly.

The BCCI President said that since the Union Minister is a vegetarian, arrangements of a special vegetarian platter has been made by his mother, Nirupa Ganguly.

The BJP leader also said that during all his visits to the state, Shah goes to the residence of a couple of acclaimed persons from the state.

The proposal for Hindi to be one of the measures for national integration is flawed because it seeks to fight a non-existent problem and also undermines the very idea of India.
