Bombs hurled near NSUI polling booth

Bhubaneswar: Bombs were hurled by two miscreants today in Dumduma area of Bhubaneswar. The miscreants hurled bombs near the polling booth of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI). The bombs were handmade.

According to sources, such incident was an attempt to halt the elections and made by political rivals.

“We hurled eggs on Friday at carcade of their (BJD) minister at Utkal University campus while he came to attend a programme, so the BJD might have planned to disrupt the elections”, Karan, a presidential aspirant, complained.

Commenting on this, BJD leader Boymkesh Ray, said, “Everybody knows Congress is an indiscipline party and party’s student wing election is foiled by their leaders every year”,.

It is their old habit to bring allegations against BJD in almost every matter, Ray claimed.

Meanwhile, police have reached at the spot and investigation into the matter is on.
